The Holuhraun/Bardarbunga volcanic eruption has ended but on this tour we take you where the eruption took place.  This single eruption lasted over six months from August 2014.   It created the largest single lava field in Iceland for centuries, about 85 square kilometers.   We can take you there from anywhere in Iceland. Total journey time (from Reykjavik) is about 3 hours.

MOST AMAZING DAY! Visit the majority of Iceland’s “postcard” sites in only one day. The largest rivers, the most active volcanoes, the highest mountain, the biggest glacier, often the brightest skies and the darkest sands.  South Coast, Eyjafjallajökull, Fimmvörðuháls, Þórsmörk, Hrafntinnusker, Landmannalaugar, Hekla, Gullfoss, Geysir, Þingvellir, Katla, Dyrhólaey, Kirkjubæjarklaustur, Lómagnúpur, Skaftafell, Hvannadalshnjúkur, Jökulsárlón, Höfn, Vatnajökull, Grímsvötn, Laki, etc… Several (condition/weather permitting) landings are made on this journey including refreshment stops and a gourmet meal break at Höfn, preferably lobster. This is probably the most amazing tour one can do when visiting Iceland or anywhere else for that matter.

Remember that you can create your own tour anywhere in Iceland if you can’t find what you’re looking for. Just give us a call on(+354) 589 1000 and our friendly staff will be happy to help! Here are some Iceland luxury tour ideas: Private yacht one way and a helicopter back or the other way around. A helicopter ride to the Vestmann Islands and a boat trip around the main island. A lunch on top of an Icelandic glacier. A proposal on the highest peak of Iceland. Heli-skiing,  Heli-fishing – Heli-hiking – Filming – Photography – Private Charter. Design your own Iceland helicopter tour. Your wish is our command!

Þingvellir, Geysir, Gullfoss, Háifoss, Landmannalaugar, þórsmörk, Fimmvörðuháls, Eyjafjallajökull, Hótel Rangá and the south coast.  In 4-5 hours, including occasional landings, you will cover areas and visit places that would normally take days of off road driving and hiking. You will get to step out a few times and enjoy some of Iceland´s natural wonders up close and personal. This tour includes a visit to a nice country side hotel for refreshments and/or a gourmet meal. This is truly a remarkable and unique trip.

EYJAFJALLAJÖKULL, FIMMVÖRÐUHÁLS, ÞÓRSMÖRK and HEKLA.  This tour takes us to the black sands along the south coast to Þorvaldseyri, a farm at the roots of the infamous Eyjafjallajökull volcano, which last erupted in April 2010. At their visitors centre you will learn first-hand what life is like with a huge erupting volcano in the backyard. Then we fly to the top of the volcano exploring the aftermath from the two eruptions that took place in the spring of 2010. We will have a look at Þórsmörk, a beautiful natural wooded area, on the other side of Eyjafjallajökull. On our way back we will pass by the volcano Hekla which erupts, on average, once every decade. Layers upon layers of lava around Hekla are testament to its powers. Journey time about 2,5 hours.

GLYMUR, ÞINGVELLIR AND HENGILL After takeoff from Reykjavík we head north towards Hvalfjörður (Whalefjord). After flying the entire length of the fjord we will find the tallest waterfall in Iceland, Glymur. It drops over 640 feet and is truly an amazing sight from below, the side and above. From there we head to the beautiful area of Þingvellir (Parliament fields) National Park. At Þingvellir you´ll be able to observe from above where the American and European tectonic plates are tearing apart. Then we head for Mount Hengill, a powerful place where you will see some untamed geothermal pools and a geothermal power plant close by. We will make one  stop/landing, conditions/weather permitting, on this tour. The rest of the tour is quite a colourful ride back to the city.

With optional mountain top landing.  Where else can you see a city area where about 2/3rds of a whole nation lives? Reykjavík is the most northern capital city in the world. On this tour you will see the whole city area and, if you like and the weather permits, get to step out of the helicopter on top of Mount Esja enjoying a great view of this beautiful city and its surroundings. Journey time about 20-50 minutes. THE HOUR OF POWER TOUR
This tour takes us south from Reykjavík towards Krísuvík where the landscape and colour looks like the moon with untamed hot springs in the area. Then we will fly along coastlines and cliffs constantly battered by the mighty North Atlantic Ocean towards the fishing town of Grindavík. At the west end of the peninsula we will, conditions/weather permitting, land close to the “landmark” lighthouse Reykjanesviti to feel the power where the “hot” land meets the cold ocean. On our way back to Reykjavík we fly over the famous Blue Lagoon and a geothermal power plant right next to it. Journey time about 1 hour.

HENGILL, GULLFOSS, GEYSIR, LANGJÖKULL and ÞINGVELLIR  The Golden Circle is the most popular tour for visitors in Iceland. It is a spectacular round trip from Reykjavík to Þingvellir, Geysir and Gullfoss. Once you get to these places you will know why they are at the top of the list. Since we do not need any roads for our helicopters we can add to the tour (weather permitting) a landing on top of Langjökull (the Long Glacier) in the highlands of Iceland and a visit to a wilderness geothermal pool at Mount Hengill. Journey time about 2,5 hours.

A GATEWAY TO THE CENTRE OF THE EARTH? There is something mystical about the Snæfellsnes peninsula with its mighty volcanic glacier Snæfellsjökull at the tip of it. Snæfellsjökull is one of the most famous sites of Iceland thanks to the novel “A Journey to the Centre of the Earth” by Jules Verne. According to the novel the entrance to a passage leading to the centre of the Earth can be found right there. This area is the embodiment of Iceland. There are fishing villages along the northern coastline and the thousands of islands in the bay of Breiðafjörður, some colourful mountains, lush farming fields, large lava fields, volcanic craters and of course the mighty glacier/volcano. Occasional landings are made on the way and a refreshment/meal stop at a nice country side hotel. Journey time about 4 hours.

A visit to the mighty Mount Hengill Only a few miles east of Reykjavík a very powerful geothermal area can be found at and around the mighty Mount Hengill.  Plenty of wild activity with boiling mud pools and the hot steam rising from the ground. You will also see how the Icelanders have harvested these powers with already two geothermal power plants in the area. One landing/stop is made on this tour. Journey time about 1 hour.

We offer aerial photography and filming flights in Iceland and Greenland for individuals and businesses. We can provide camera mounts suitable for all the most common brands such as Sony, Arri, Red and Panasonic.

The AS 350 B2 helicopter can carry up to up to 1.160 kgs. of under-slung loads and AS 350 B3+ can lift up to 1.200 kgs. (working load). The pilots are higly trained and experienced in this field of flying. Our first primary goal is of course safety and precision.
