We have for rent seven cozy cottages with everything you need for a pleasant stay. They are located in an all-year-round beautiful and quiet surrounding in the historic south part of Iceland with a fantastic view, numerous nearby attractions and short distance from the national highway and to services.
A horse rental is also available at the nearby farm during the summer for those who would like to experience riding the Icelandic pony. The cottages are rented out all year round at resonable prices.
During the winter the location often offers an excellent view of the magnificent Northern lights. During the winter season the prices are 30 percent lower than in the summertime. The winter season is from September 16 to May 15. We are taking orders for the winter 2016-2017 now.
From the location of the cottages you can for example see the famous Eyjafjallajökull, the glacier mountain that erupted in 2010, as well as Mýrdalsjökull glacier. You can also for example see the peculiar peninsula Dyrhólaey and the basalt sea stackone Reynisdrangar, couple of Iceland’s more famous landmarks, or take a walk on the nearby black sand beaches.
The cottages are 26.5 m2 and with space for up to five people at the same time. There is one bed in a separate room (140×200cm) and also a bunkbed (80×200cm). In the living room is a sleeping couch for two (140×200cm). We have seven cottages for rent. Two of them were built in 2010 another two in 2013 and then three in 2015.
